Amy Phillips, FNP, coordinated the first ever Wear Blue Day at Wassaja Clinic on March 30, 2017 in an effort to increase colon cancer awareness. Colon cancer rates are increasing in younger people. An increase in awareness and screening is the best way to reduce to consequences of late detection. People throughout tribal government wore blue in this joint effort. An event with educational games, prizes and food was also held at the clinic that day. Great job, Amy!
