The Fort McDowell Police Department honors amongst their peers one employee or group for quarterly recognition. From all the commendations received during the past three months, the Awards Committee, consisting of the employees’ peers, selects one individual for recognition for their outstanding work performance.
In addition, once a year the Chief of Police awards employees whose performance is consistent with awards for Lifesaving, Valor and Distinguished Service. The Chief of Police also selects an Officer of the Year, Supervisor of the Year and Civilian Employee of the Year.
