Purchased Referred Care
American Indians who live on the Fort McDowell reservation and have no health insurance may be eligible for coverage of hospital services for life threatening emergencies and referred specialty care through the tribe’s Purchased Referred Care program.
Coverage under Purchased Referred Care, a resource of last resort, must meet specific criteria and be approved by the Purchased Referred Care committee at Wassaja Memorial Health Center. This program is limited by the funding available.
