On December 31, 2014, the Fort McDowell Police Department held it’s annual Awards ceremony. The Awards ceremony is held at the end of the year to recognize employees for some of the great work and accomplishments throughout the year. This year the following awards were given;
- Lifesaving Award – Officer Begay
- Distinguished Service Award – Acting Detective Sergeant Gonzales
- Certificate of Commendation – Acting Patrol Lieutenant Crabtree, Acting Detective Sergeant Gonzales, Sergeant Puffer and Officer Estrella
- Police Officer of the Year – Officer Bradley
- Supervisor of the Year – Sergeant Lopez
- Civilian of the Year – Dispatcher Mikolic
